Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We were treated to a fantastic concert this week, by our Y4 class and special guests from across school.
Well done everyone, you were superb!
We will try and post a few videos from the concert in the next day or two.
Pictures from our wonderful Y6 pupil's performance of Yee Ha this week. Everyone was amazing! It was a superb end to the year. Well done to all the children and staff who worked so hard to make it such an incredible end of year show.
We can’t wait to welcome you back into school for this year’s Sports Day on Thursday! Don’t forget, if you want to sit down, you’ll need to bring a chair to sit on. Please stay in the areas we have marked out for parents, as it is more difficult to organise the children when parents are interacting with them. The weather looks fair, low chance of rain currently, and not too sunny! Having said that, still make sure that your child’s water bottle is in school, as they will be outside for a couple of hours.
There are a few children through school who cannot have their images online, so please avoid taking pictures of other people’s children. If you do take pictures, and there are other children in shot, even in the background, please do not post them anywhere online. We will try to get as many pictures using the school camera as we can, and then we'll filter out any images which include children who can’t be posted on the internet.
Many thanks for your help with this.
Mr. Matthews
Main entrance gates open for parents: 12.45pm
Planned start: once all the children are sat down ready, 1pm…ish
This year's Cross Country team at their last event (a few weeks ago now). They did exceptionally well across the season, in a incredibly competitive field. We will post any individual medal places in the next newsletter. Well done everyone, you were all amazing!
Our cricket team played exceptionally well in a BWD tournament last week, coming 4th out of 19 teams. A superb result. We were immensely proud of them all!
Our netball team have had an amazing season this year, culminating in the finals last night.
They ended up as bronze medal winners coming 3rd in the league.
As always they were fantastic ambassadors for school, consistently demonstrating superb sportsmanship, when they were winning or otherwise. School couldn't be prouder of them.
Many thanks to all the parents who have supported them throughout the year, and the dedicated staff who have worked so hard with all the girls and boys who have taken part.
Our friends at WEC very kindly made a beautiful plaque for our special Jubilee hedge the gardening group has planted. Many thanks for this, it explains the significance of this new hedge, which will hopefully be there for future generations to enjoy.
What amazing entries we've had for today's Jubilee Cake Competition! Below are just some of the cakes you made at home, which are being sold during the day to children.
Any unsold cakes will be on sale to parents after school in the hall. Please pop in if you have time.
Very well done to all our entries, there are all fantastic!
This afternoon's Jubilee art exhibition. From 2.30pm till 3.45pm.
Pictures from our Jubilee assembly this morning. Each class has researched one of the decades from the last 70 years and shared their findings with the rest of school. We had music from the 50's, 60's 70's and so on, and even some dancing!
Later today, we will have our special Jubilee lunch which our catering team have been hard at work preparing.
Finally today, from 2.30pm till 3.45pm, our Jubilee art exhibition will take place in the school hall. Parents are very welcome to come and visit. Please come into school via the kitchen/hall door ramp.
