Stay safe and well,
Mr. Matthews
As you already know, the internet in school has gone down. The local authority have looked into our connection, and it appears to either be an issue with the line into school, or the server, which is only 18 months old. We have a technician on the way to look at the server, but it looks extremely unlikely that it will be fixed by the time the afternoon live lessons come around. My apologies. Hopefully by Monday, it will all be up and running and we can get back to 'normal'! Obviously, I will update you nearer the time if it isn't.
Stay safe and well,
Mr. Matthews
From Monday onwards, all critical workers dropping off or collecting children, must wear a mask at all times on the school grounds. If there is anyone who can supervise your child, even if they are eligible for a place, please keep them at home, they are safer there. Stay safe and look after each other.
Mr. Matthews
School is currently open to critical worker children only, but we may need to close later on, depending on the weather. Please keep children at home if at all possible, as we may not have sufficient staff. If you have no other option, critical worker children can still come as planned, but watch out for app messages through the day.
Stay safe and well,
Mr. Matthews
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement this evening, I am writing to inform you that our school will now only be open from tomorrow, Tuesday 5th January, for Key Worker and vulnerable children.
Home Learning
We are aiming to start the group zoom meetings for your child’s class as soon as possible. Your child’s class teacher will contact you via the app with details tomorrow.
Key Worker and Vulnerable Children
We have sent via email a registration form for Key Worker children. Parents who feel they are eligible to use this provision should only do so if there is no other option. Key Workers are classed as those whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response and includes those who work in health and social care and in other key sectors. Many parents working in these sectors may be able to ensure their child stays at home.
EVERY CHILD WHO CAN SAFELY BE CARED FOR AT HOME SHOULD BE.
Vulnerable children include those who have an Educational Health Care Plan. A member of school staff will contact each of these families later in the week. If this applies to your child and you wish your child to attend school tomorrow, please email the office.

I am conscious that this decision to move to home learning will cause difficulties for many families. Hopefully this is only a temporary arrangement and we will soon be able to welcome all the children back to school.
Thank you for your continued support.
Look after yourselves, stay safe and well,
Mr. Matthews
