  • COVID Test results over the half term break

Fri 23 Oct 2020 Mr. Matthews

Should any of our pupils develop symptoms and then test positive for COVID-19 over the holidays, it will still be important to let school know. Should this happen, please email:

as soon as you can. Have a good half term break.

    Stay safe and well,

    Mr. Matthews

  • Video tour of school for prospective parents

Mon 12 Oct 2020 Mr. Matthews

It's at this time of year that we usually open our doors to show new parents what Ashleigh is all about. Sadly, just at the moment, it would be irresponsible of us to show parents around school whilst all the pupils are in, or indeed allow large groups of people to mix at a open evening.

In lieu of our usual Open Evening, children in Y5 and Y6 are putting together videos showing everyone our wonderful school. These videos will go on this website just after the half term break, i.e. the first week in November.

In the mean time, if you are a parent of a child who starts school in September 2021, you can ring school to arrange an individual tour of school once all the children have gone for the day. It wont be the same as usual, but it may give you a flavour of what Ashleigh is all about.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Mr. Matthews

  • COVID19 test results

Thu 01 Oct 2020 Mr. Matthews

    Just a quick reminder.

If someone in your family becomes unwell and you get them tested, please do the following:

-let school know who is getting tested and when their symptoms started.

-isolate all family members, including children, until you know the result. It vital that children who have been in contact with a possibly infected family member do not attend school.

-contact school when you get the result back, whether it's positive or negative.

-in the event of a positive test result, all members of the family must isolate for 14 days.

-if the test result is negative, children can return to school the next day.

    Keep well and stay safe,

    Mr. Matthews
