Maths Homework

Every week we would like the children to work on their times tables. We ask that they spend at least 15 minutes focused work on  each week. This work would be best completed alongside an adult or older sibling encouraging them to work as quickly as possible trying to answer the questions. Occasional errors are not too important as long as they are able to answer most questions within three seconds. The helper could even be typing in the answers the child gives to aid their answering speeds. Rapid recall of their tables will benefit your child immensely as they progress through the junior school.

English Homework

Read regularly. Your child will be given a reading book. This should be read as often as possible and should be returned to school each day to allow us to change the book if required and monitor how often your child has been reading. Click on the picture for hints to help you encourage your child to become a better reader.
