  • Tag Rugby for Y5

    Children from Y5 were invited to a Tag Rugby event at St Barnabas School today. Our team showed super sportsmanship and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They demonstrated, as we knew they would, the Ashleigh values of working together and team work.
  • STEM club starting

    Mrs Hudson is starting a brand new club this week, STEM club. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Each week children from Y3/4 will work on an exciting investigation which will incorporate one of these elements.
  • London Visit

    45 children from Y5 & Y6 left for an amazing residential trip to London today. They will see the House of Parliament, ride the London Eye, see a West End show and even go on a cruise down the Thames!.

    Many thanks to parents for supporting this superb trip and the adults who have organised and run it.

  • Valentine's Disco

    Our PTA, Friends of Ashleigh (FOA) organised the annual Valentine's discos today. Everyone had a fabulous time, if a little noisy!
  • BBC visit school

    A BBC camera crew came to school today to film our Y6 Money Mentors teaching the rest of Y6 all about budgeting. A number of staff and children were also interviewed. The programme will be shown during the summer holidays on BBC1. More news when we have it!
  • Reception children visit Man Lee Chinese

    Our wonderful Reception children visited Man Lee Chinese restaurant today as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations. Everyone really enjoyed the visit and were very full for the afternoon lessons!
  • Travelling by Tuba

    We had an amazing day of music today. We were visited by Travelling by Tuba, who presented a superb assembly to the whole school about music through the ages. KS2 children then worked with them to produce a wonderful performance at the end of the afternoon for all of the parents.
